An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Equity Analyst to join a leading investment management firm. The role focuses on researching and analysing listed companies on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) to identify investment opportunities and support portfolio management decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive company and sector research on JSE-listed companies.
- Analyse broker information, annual reports, and insights from company visits.
- Participate in investment team debates and contribute to decision-making.
- Present investment recommendations to the portfolio management team.
- Track and monitor the performance of companies within the portfolio.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- 2 to 5 years of experience as an equity analyst
- Proven experience building financial models for forecasting and supporting
investment decisions. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)), CFA, or Business Science (Finance) preferred.
- Degrees in Engineering, Actuarial Science, or other relevant postgraduate qualifications also considered.
