An exceptional opportunity exists for a talented and analytical
individual to join a leading investment management firm. The successful
candidate will contribute to the credit function within the fixed income team,
assessing credit as an asset class and supporting portfolio management
decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct credit
research on banks, corporates, and government-related issuers. - Analyse
financial statements to assess creditworthiness and advise on pricing of
instruments. - Liaise with
arrangers, issuers, and ratings agencies on upcoming and existing bond
issuances. - Investigate new
entrants to the bond market and comparable issuers globally. - Interpret
economic variables, analyse yield curves, and perform quantitative
analysis. - Present
insights and recommendations to the internal credit committee. - Contribute to
investment decisions and assist with operational analysis.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Proven
experience in credit analysis and strong understanding of financial
markets. - Solid
accounting background (articles advantageous). - Exposure to
debt investing and fixed income products. - Excellent
analytical, investigative, and presentation skills. - High attention
to detail and intellectual curiosity.
Qualifications
- Chartered
Accountant (CA(SA)) or CFA preferred. - BCom, Business
Science, or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or Quantitative disciplines.
