Investment Analyst

We’ve partnered with a privately held investment company whose mission is to build a modern, enduring investment house grounded in rationality, research excellence, and disciplined capital deployment. They think long-term, act deliberately, and value quiet excellence over corporate noise.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Investment Analyst to support the construction, analysis, and ongoing monitoring of the firm’s investment portfolios, a collection of high-quality global businesses with sustainable competitive advantages and compounding cash flows.

This is a unique opportunity to join a boutique, owner-led firm where ideas matter more than hierarchy.

You’ll work directly with senior leadership to research global markets, assess companies, and contribute to long-term investment decisions. You’ll combine classical financial analysis with modern, AI-driven research tools to surface insight from complex and vast data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyse S&P 500 constituents and 13F filings to identify exceptional long-term compounders.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to understand business models, competitive moats, capital intensity, and return profiles.
  • Build and maintain a structured scorecard of company metrics, valuation ranges, and sector insights.
  • Use AI and data tools intelligently to summarise filings, identify patterns, and enhance research efficiency.
  • Prepare investment memos that communicate clear logic, evidence, and valuation outcomes.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on portfolio construction and capital allocation decisions.

Academic & Technical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (preferred). Quantitative degrees such as Engineering or Applied Mathematics welcome with strong financial literacy.
  • Proven academic excellence
  • CFA Level II or Level III candidate strongly preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, audit, or investment research.
  • Skilled in financial modelling and valuation (FCF, DCF, ROIC, unit economics, and scenario analysis).
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and analytical writing.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and synthesis of information.
