Our client, a leading global asset manager is seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who brings significant experience and gravitas. This role not only demands oversight of the company’s financial functions across multiple jurisdictions but also offers the opportunity for the right candidate to be groomed as a potential successor within the organisation. The CFO will be integral to strategic planning, financial management, and operational efficiency, contributing significantly to the executive management team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall finance function, ensuring robust financial strategies and processes.
- Contribute to the executive management team, influencing overall strategy and growth.
- Manage financial operations, including budgeting processes and financial reporting.
- Implement and oversee advanced financial systems to enhance efficiency; Budgeting, and Reporting would be advantageous.
- Engage in cost restructuring initiatives to achieve significant improvements in the cost-to-income ratio.
- Oversee tax matters across all operational jurisdictions and streamline legal and operational structures to optimise costs.
- Participate actively in audit committees and contribute to the corporate governance framework.
Key non-negotiable criteria:
- 15 – 20 years’ experience in Finance
- Min 10 years in Asset Management/investment management company
- CA (SA)
- South African Citizen
- Executive Management experience
- Exco and Board level engagement
